Key Points Otoron Focuses on During Auction Vehicle Inspections
Check the vehicle’s condition report (tenkaizu) thoroughly
Inspect the exterior not only based on the condition report, but also through independent visual confirmation
Check for rust or oil leaks on the undercarriage from all angles (front, rear, left, and right)
Evaluate the interior for odors, functionality of features, and any missing components
Listen for engine noise, check for transmission (AT) shift shock, and test key functions such as air conditioning (AC), audio-visual systems (AV), power steering (PS), and door mirrors
Post-Arrival Inspection at Reconditioning Factory
At our reconditioning factory, vehicles purchased at auction are first brought in and inspected upon arrival.
We use an "Inbound Inspection Checklist" to conduct the initial checks.
Roadworthiness (shaken compliance) is assessed in coordination with certified mechanics.
Other issues such as odors, unusual noises, or rust are noted during the course of work if detected, but there is no special form used specifically for these items.
The Purchasing Department is responsible for the inbound inspection.
Afterward, the Maintenance Team conducts a more detailed auction claim inspection, including test driving the vehicle to check for engine issues, oil leaks, fluid levels, and other mechanical concerns.
